A new attraction for thrill-seekers has arrived in Dubai. Eight glass ledges extending 1.5 meters beyond the building have been opened at The View at The Palm observation deck. Visitors can see the famous man-made Palm Jumeirah island directly beneath their feet and take photos against the backdrop of the city skyline.
The new area is called The Ledge at The View. It is now open to guests and is included in the price of a standard admission ticket.
Eight glass platforms above Palm Jumeirah
The main feature of The Ledge is eight transparent platforms, each extending 1.5 meters beyond the edge of the main observation deck.
Four of the platforms face the man-made Palm Jumeirah archipelago. From here, you get a view of the island's famous "fronds," its outer crescent, and the waters of the Persian Gulf.
The other four are oriented toward the Dubai city skyline.
The transparent surface allows visitors to look not only into the distance but also directly down, observing the city from high above.
The panorama changes depending on the time of day: by day, you can see the blue waters of the gulf and the outline of the island; at sunset, the golden light; and in the evening, the lights of the metropolis.
Where to find The Ledge at The View
The new attraction is located at The View at The Palm, at a height of 240 meters.
The observation deck is situated at the top of The Palm Towerbuilt by the developer Nakheel.
The building is connected to Nakheel Mall and is located directly on Palm Jumeirah.
The View opened in 2021 and has become one of Dubai's most famous observation decks, thanks to its 360-degree.
How much do tickets to the new observation deck cost?
Access to the glass platforms The Ledge is already included in the standard The View at The Palm ticket. No separate surcharge for the new area is mentioned in the published terms.
Ticket prices start from:
- 115 AED for adults.
- 80 AED for children.
Tickets can be purchased on the official website The View at The Palm.
Prices are starting rates and may vary depending on the chosen time of visit and ticket category.
Five years in operation: millions of tourists from 130 countries
The opening of The Ledge coincides with the fifth anniversary of The View at The Palm.
Since its launch in 2021, the observation deck has been visited by millions of guests from 130 countries.
During this time, it has also become a venue for 40 marriage proposals.
More than 300 professional photographers from the UAE and other countries have used the venue to capture panoramic views of Palm Jumeirah and Dubai.
New glass ledges enhance the visitor experience, offering a fresh perspective on familiar city views.
Dubai expands its tourism infrastructure
The opening of The Ledge is part of an upgrade to entertainment facilities managed by Dubai Holding Entertainment (DHE).
The company also manages Dubai Parks and Resorts, Ain Dubai, and Global Village.
In October 2026, Dubai Parks and Resorts reopened after a six-month break. During this time, 14 new attractionswere added to Riverland, including go-karting, bowling, and Lamborghini simulators.
The group's future plans include the opening of a new water park.
Global Village has also announced new pavilions, the Tokyo Rushroller coaster, as well as new restaurants and concert programs.
These projects complement Dubai's tourism infrastructure and expand the range of entertainment options for residents and visitors to the emirate.
Palm Jumeirah continues to attract tourists
The opening of the glass platforms has added a new way to experience one of Dubai's most iconic landmarks.
The Ledge at The View combines panoramic views from a height of 240 meters with the opportunity to step out onto a transparent platform extending beyond the observation deck.
For visitors, this is another way to see Palm Jumeirah, and for the city, it is a new addition to the existing tourism infrastructure.
