The Dubai Land Department (DLD) and Dubai SME have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at increasing the participation of Emirates companies in the real estate sector.
The initiative is being implemented as part of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 economic strategy and provides for the creation of conditions for the development of small and medium-sized businesses owned by UAE citizens.
The main focus is on providing access to key areas of the industry, including:
- property management
- servicing property associations
- specialized consulting services
Local business development
The agreement aims to increase the number of supported Emirates enterprises to 27,000 by 2033.
This is not only about quantitative growth, but also about creating a sustainable ecosystem in which local companies can play a more prominent role.
It is also planned to simplify the interaction between developers and local contractors, which will expand the participation of small businesses in large projects.
Education and standards
Training and professional development will be an important part of the program.
DLD, together with Dubai SME, plans to launch specialized programs that will help companies meet international operating standards.
Market effect
Experts note that strengthening the role of local businesses can contribute to:
- increasing transparency
- competition development
- building long-term partnerships
The more active participation of entrepreneurs also creates additional stability within the industry.
A long-term approach
The initiative reflects the desire to develop the economy by supporting small and medium-sized businesses and creating a more balanced business environment.
